When you first see Danube House from the riverbank, it’s obvious these are the greenest offices in the city with their surrounding park and the Vltava River. There are verdant terraces on every floor and the roof. You enter the building and you’re in the middle of a jungle, a garden extended over two floors. A green airwalk spans the middle of Danube House. You can hold a meeting or practice your yoga on the floating platforms, or you can just relax, just like in a park. Except it’s got a big advantage: It never gets rained on. And there is no wind, so you can have a picnic in the middle of winter.

But there is more to to being a green building than that. Danube House is also excellent at water management, using renewable resources, and thus significantly reduces the building’s carbon footprint. It also has been LEED Platinum certified. Pretty cool, right?

There is also smart LED lighting that feels like sunlight, not in terms of the output, but in terms of the warmth and hue. Danube House will make you more productive. Smart thermal pumps and shades always maintain a comfortable temperature within Danube House with a minimum amount of energy consumed. Danube House recognizes stale air in a meeting room and starts ventilation. And it will adjust the radiative panels on the ceiling according to whether it’s sweltering or frigid inside. Location

Your commute can be an excursion

Just like the Danube has many tributaries, there are many roads to Danube House. It’s just three minutes by foot from the Karlínské náměstí tram stop and just a bit more to the Křižíkova and Florenc stops on the metro’s B line. Florenc is also home to an international and national bus station and the metro’s B and C lines, as well as several tram lines.

The more adventurous can take the bike path from the HolKa footbridge from Holešovice, which us not just the fastest way to cross the river, but also offers views of the Štvanice Island and Prague Castle.

Danube House is connected to the other buildings on the campus with an underground tunnel found in the garage. If you’re arriving by car, you park in one of the more than 250 spaces. There is also a footpath over a major Karlín road that connects the new campus with the older parts of the neighbourhood.
